CP Bombers By Akoo Defeats BadBoy After Late Game Double, 11-7 

CP Bombers and BadBoy passed the lead back and forth seven times on Sunday at Great Lawn Field four, but in the end CP Bombers pulled out an 11-7 win in seven innings over BadBoy.

CP Bombers took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. CP Bombersscored on an RBI double by Jay Corbin off Nick Storm, scoring Elvis Alayon.

Ralph racked up three RBIs on two hits for CP Bombers by Akoo. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Moya boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace BadBoy. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Storm was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in six innings, walked eight and struck out three.

In the top of the first, BadBoy grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Moya got things going for BadBoy with a single. A groundout by Chris Gonell then moved Moya from first to second. Tony Hubbard singled, bringing home Moya.

CP Bombers survived BadBoy’s surge and put up three runs of its own in the first. CP Bombers scored on a sacrifice fly by Alayon, an RBI single by Jason Wallace, and an RBI single by Ralph.

The fifth spelled defeat for BadBoy, as CP Bombers grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on a three-run double by Blue and two singles.

Two runs in the top of the seventh helped BadBoy close its deficit to 11-7. An RBI double by Chris Gonell and a groundout by Cornelius set off BadBoy rally. BadBoy’s Hubbard flew out to end the ballgame.
