Fyre Defeats CP Bombers  11-7 

Rah Rah went 4-4 at the plate, helping Fyre to an 11-7 victory over CP Bombers on 7/17/16 at Great Lawn Field four.

Smiley racked up three RBIs on two hits for CP Bombers. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

The top of the second saw CP Bombers take an early lead, 3-0. Henry Polanco kicked things off for CP Bombers with a single. A double by Justin Ferrer then moved Polanco from first to third. Smiley tripled, scoring Polanco and Ferrer. CP Bombers then tacked on more runs when Smiley scored on an RBI single by Ricky DaCosta.

Fire stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring seven runs on three singles.

Two runs in the top of the third helped CP Bombers close its deficit to 7-5. An RBI single by Ferrer and an RBI single by Smiley gave CP Bombers life. DaCosta flew out to end the CP Bombers threat.

It didn’t take long for Fyre to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the third. Fire scored on an RBI double by Mark Riley and an RBI single by Big Tim.

Fyre piled on three more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Rah Rah doubled, bringing home Jeff Scott. That was followed up by Marlon Lindsay‘s single, plating Rah Rah.

One run in the top of the fifth helped CP Bombers close its deficit to 12-6. An RBI single by Polanco sparked CP Bombers’s rally. Ferrer to end the CP Bombers  threat.
